VLC 2.1.2 not starting at correct position for cue+tta

Postby Dakarnad » 22 Dec 2013 04:10

Hi,

I'm running Windows 8.1 and VLC 2.1.2.

I have a .cue file and an associated .tta file.

When I open the cue file and play song #5, VLC starts playing at a position where the 4th song has not ended yet. It is clearly several seconds before the start of the 5th song. I do not get this problem with Foobar2000 on the same cue file.

Is there any way to resolve this?

Thanks

with some cue / flac combinations (not with all) vlc has the same problem
i reported this 2 years ago
but vlc still has some probs

it was presumed that a flac compression level caused the bug
but when u have the same probs with tta files it is more likely that it may be cue related

Is there any way to resolve this?

Thanks
u can try to re encode the tta file with a different compression level or use a tool like cue tools to create single tta files for each track instead of one large file

Probably VLC cannot seek correctly into those files...
