WinTV HVR 950Q - ATSC

Postby zcolton » 20 Oct 2010 07:07

I am using the latest release of VLC (1.1.4) on Windows 7 32bit. With the WinTV HVR 950Q, I have no problems receiving OTA digital signals and viewing the channels with Windows Media Center. I would like to use VLC so that I can stream the tv channel, but I have not had any luck getting VLC to find the tuner and set the channel. I notice that the messages that are getting logged (verbosity level 2) I receive FindFilter: No filter connected: hr=0x80004005 and then Build: Cannot load tuner device and connect network provider: hr=080004005. When I test the setup using the capture mode of DirectShow, I can view my "snow channel", so I know that card seems te be detected - no audio, but that's a different story. As anyone successfully used the 950Q with VLC to capture ATSC channels?

I too am in a similar situation like you. Can you give me some pointers. Could you tell me if you were able to get this project done and what was your setup?
