vlc 2.1.0 crashes when i put windows to "sleep"

Postby hajj_3 » 23 Oct 2013 13:54

If i put windows 7 x64 sp1 in to "sleep" mode when i resume windows all my vlc windows have closed, vlc.exe is no longer running in task manager.

I made a bug report for it here: https://trac.videolan.org/vlc/ticket/9725#ticket

some vlc member closed my bug report:

Resolution set to incomplete
Status changed from new to closed

worksforme.

You need more logs or crashdump for us to fix/test it.

I tried enabling logging and i set verbosity as "2 debug" but nothing was logged. The program doesn't crash as in asks to close the program and asks you to submit a bug report, the program just closes. Nothing was logged. In previous v2.0.x it would crash when the computer went to sleep, another person filed that bug report but that bug hasn't been patched.

I'm running a intel p35 chipset with core 2 quad q6700 chip and latest chipset drivers and latest nvidia drivers.

Anyone have any ideas how i could log what happens properly?

EDIT: managed to find the crashdump, i've attached it to the bug report now: https://trac.videolan.org/vlc/raw-attac ... /crashdump
