I have using a dell Inspiron 15 R Laptop with i5- 3337U CPU with Windows 8 64 bit and graphic card of AMD Radeon HD 8730M.
I am facing problem while playing the MKV files (not all but some) on the VLC. I have tried almost 6 different version (last 2.0.
and now 2.1.0 and for all the versions the VLC media player crashes while playing the file(s). Below is the error message.VLC media player 2.1.0 has stooped Working.
Initially i thought there must be some problem in the file(s) only but when i tried Power DVD 10.0 and Windows Media Player (after codec installation), i was able to play the files.
I tried it after deleting the file libmkv_plugin.dll and i was able to play those files but it is taking long time when i jump the movie from one point to another.
Despite of using the latest version of VLC, which is indeed one of the worlds best Media Player, such issues are still occurring. Can you please help me.
