VLC player 2.1.0 won’t close automatically after playback

Postby chane » 05 Oct 2013 22:05

I am running version 2.1.0 in Windows XP SP2. The previous version of VLC player closed by itself automatically after playing each file. I can make 2.1.0 it do this after clicking: MediaQuit at end of playlist. But when I click on another file to play (while in MS Explorer) that auto close setting is lost. I then looked in Tools→Preferences but found nothing to enable or disable to get the player to remain in auto close after play.

Can VLC version 2.1.0 do this at all? If so, how do I enable it?

In Preferences  Advanced  Playlist, I click Play & Exit and Allow only one instance running instance.
But after playing the file the player still doesn’t exit.
