VLC 2.0.8 Always crashes when playing .wmv files

I've been using VLC for a long time and there has always been a slight "pause" at the beginning of .wmv files:

. The video starts
. plays for approximately 2 seconds
. the video pauses for approximately 2 seconds
. the video starts playing again and the rest of the video plays just fine

It has always been like this on every .wmv file I've ever played with every version of VLC up to VLC 2.0.6. I don't know if the "pause" is caused by something weird that is in all .wmv files or a bug in VLC.

In VLC 2.0.7 it changed slightly. The video starts playing, then when it gets to the "pause" the screen goes completely black for 2 seconds, then the video resumes playing with no other problems.

VLC 2.0.8 plays the first couple of seconds of the video, then when it gets to that "pause", VLC crashes. No .wmv files can be played.

I have uninstalled VLC 2.0.8 and installed VLC 2.0.7 and confirmed that it plays .wmv files with no crash.

Download v2.0.8 again, it has been fixed.
