Version 2.2.999 or 2.1.0 or 2.07

Postby BlueCollarCritic » 11 Jun 2013 18:59

When I go to the DOWNLOADS page of the VLC Media site the latest version fro VLC for Windows is listed as 2.07.
When I load VLC and go to "Help-About" the version number I am shown is 2.1.0.
When I load VLC and go to "Help-Check For Updates", the first line of text on the pop-up dialog reads "A new version of VLC (2.2.999) is avaiable."

So what is the latest version and why I am I seeing 3 very disconnected verisons for what is "the lastest" depending on were I check?

Thanks.

2.1.0 is a test version. Therefore numbers are wrong.

Code: Select all

VideoLAN and the VLC development team present VLC 2.1.0 "Twoflower". VLC media player 2.1.0 is an update for security and bug fixing...
An' if ain't broke, then don't try to fix it...
