how do I play more than one video file in different instance

Postby Carol999 » 24 May 2013 10:10

hi

I want two windows of videos play aside with each other.

I double click an .avi file and it opens vlc and plays the file.
then I double click another .avi file and it plays on the same instance (window) as the one before instead of opening another instance (window).

I already unticked (removed the "V") here:
tools -> preferences -> instances -> allow only one instance

You need in advanced prefs to deactivate the one-instance-from-file, IIRC
