error: LibVLC requires mingw-runtime version 3.15 or higher.

Postby estabahn » 23 May 2013 20:54

Apologies for the lengthy post!.. I'm trying to cross-compile VLC 2.0.6 to win32 using the i686 toolchain under xubuntu 13.04. I've searched, have tried this many times.. I've searched more... I'm following the recipe at http://wiki.videolan.org/Win32Compile

Each time when I run ../extras/package/win32/configure.sh --host=i686-w64-mingw32, I get this error:

checking for broken mingw-runtime... present
configure: error: LibVLC requires mingw-runtime version 3.15 or higher, or mingw-w64 version 3.0 or higher!

dpkg confirms that these are installed:
mingw-w64-dev 3.0~svn5496-1
mingw-w64 2.0.3-1
mingw-w64-x86-64-dev 2.0.3-1
mingw-w64-i686-dev 2.0.3-1
g++-mingw-w64 4.6.3-13ubuntu1+8
gcc-mingw-w64-base 4.6.3-13ubuntu1+8
gcc-mingw-w64-i686 4.6.3-13ubuntu1+8
3.17.0-0videolan

mingw-w64-dev is at version 3.0., but other packages are at 2.0.3. Do I need to remove some or all of these 2.0.3 packages?
