Video preview is missing with icon

I just updated the VLC to 2.0.6. It was like this before:

And now its like this:

If you notice the video preview is gone. I want it back.

AFAIK the thumbnails are generated by windowsOS, VLC doesn't have anything to do with it. Your first image has mpg videos what is recognized fine by windows but the second image has brrip files that I doubt it knows them.

But before upgrading everything was fine. There were thumbnails everywhere or whatever you call it but now they are all gone.

Yes, I have K-Lite Codec pack installed. Is it causing the problem?
