x64 blu-ray TrueHD playback issue

Postby Inmate #001 » 15 Apr 2013 09:34

I can play it fine in other players, but when I load the Matrix Revolutions into VLC x64 2.0.6, the true-hd (track 2 I think?) shows only the stereo device. There are no stereo tracks for the main film that are in english, thus I'm thinking that this must be a bug?

Track one shows as 5.1, track one should be the standard 5.1 AC3 track.

I checked the codec tool window, and it shows stream 2 as the true-hd stream. So I know it's recognizing that specific track at some point. So how it comes over as both playing back in stereo only, and only showing up as a stereo device is beyond my knowledge.

Thanks for any help.

(I'm using the actual Matrix Revolution blu-ray disk, not a virtual ISO or any such derivation).

It's a copyrighted blu-ray (The Matrix: Revolutions). Sadly I can't share it, though if one knows where to look I'm sure a pure copy of it exists on the internet... though I don't condone such acts obviously.

I'm sure that is the same exact disk that I got in this:

I use an ASUS xonar 7.1 capable sound card hooked up to a logitech 5.1 surround sound speaker set.
