newest player

Just D/L the newest player 2.0.5 and it will not play MKV files created by the new versions of MKVMerge. All the newest tv show releases on the web. It locks up and I have an Intel QUAD core processor with 4GB of ram. Older version of MKV files made with older versions of MKVMerge play fine.

Try 2.0.6 nightly build.

Or allow dummy elements in tools->preferences->show settings = All -> Input/Codecs -> demuxers-> matroska
Save and restart vlc.

If you choose this solution, please disable this option as soon as you upgrade to 2.0.6 since it handles badly broken/corrupted files.
