VLC Player clipping mpg video but saving as mp3

Postby Marcellino » 20 Mar 2013 13:28

I wanted to clip an mpg video file so used the record button on VLC player to do so. The clipping went well BUT the file it saved it as was an mp3 file so it had no video. I'm using VLC Player 2.0.5. Any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong here? Thanks. :(

Please open Tools -> Messages (set Verbosity to 2) before you start the playback and then paste the full resulting log here or on Pastebin.com if it's too long.

I see no attachment capability in posting it here, so do I send the file to you personally? Any other way of posting the file?

We're not asking for the log again but for the original MPG file itself.

If it's too large then cut it with DGsplit and read here about how to do it:
viewtopic.php?f=14&t=57724&p=193335#p193335
30 MB max should be enough.
