hello

when I close properly vlc, while it doesnt appear it still runs as I see in the task manager consuming HUGE amounts of cpu etc etc

I think that you are using one of 8.1 or 8.2 versions.
I didn't personally see this problem in 8.3 however as you say it is really a big problem with prev versions of vlc.

yes I use 8.2 indeed

excuse me, where do I dld the 8.3 version?
