How do I make VLC player remember my video settings?

Postby loveranger » 14 Nov 2012 02:34

I have a some movie files and I want to be able to open them at specific settings... instead of having to manually changing them each time I open it. By default when I open a movie file, the audio will be "Russian" ... subtitles will be enabled. ... audio will be stereo, etc. How can I make VLC player remember my settings each time I open the same video file?

I would also like the added feature of remembering all the "Effects and Filters" settings such as Brightness, Color, Contrast, Saturation, etc. (actually, all 3 tabs: Audio Effects, Video Effects, Synchronization) saved in a text file named after the original file (for easy backup and sorting) plus the word " settings" appended after it. For example:

Original video file name: The Leopard.mp4
Settings save file name: The Leopard settings.txt
