White layer/bright image issue

Postby ROBO731 » 27 Nov 2012 04:09

I'm not exactly sure what is causing the issue I'm having, but when I play a file in VLC it appears to have a white tint/very light transparent layer of white over it/brighter than it should be. I don't really know why this happens or how I can fix it. There's an example from a DVD I own of it being played in VLC versus Media player classic below (Sorry if it's difficult to tell the difference in these frames or if they aren't the exact same frames, I'm in a rush). I really hope I will be able to solve this issue. I really like using VLC it would be a shame to have to switch after all this time.

Media Player Classic (correct)

VLC (incorrect)
