VLC 2.0.4 can't seem to detect proper Time Length (Solved)

Can you share the file?

Btw, with your colorscheme, I would advise you to change the volume colors in preferneces.

mediainfo gives the same length, to be honest...

meaning what?

anyway I've extracted the video file and re-converted it (changed the audio file from FLAC to MP3) not sure if that's the cause but somehow it fixed my problem

Yes, VLC trusts the segment info that gives the length. Trusting it is useful for linked chapters.
