0.8.2 crashes with Hauppauge- BT878 TV- card

If I try to open my Hauppauge WinTV card via "Open Capture Device", VLC crashes with an unhandled exception in "vlc.exe (NTDLL.exe): 0xc0000005: Access Violation"
