Why do I get 2 Windows open when using VLC ?

Postby brainpup » 26 Aug 2012 17:35

I've used VLC for a Loong time and now all of a sudden when ever I open a video, I get an extra window open in my task bar and when I click on it its blank and I cannot X out of it and have to use Task Manager to end it.

Does anybody else have this problem ? how do you fix it ? It never happened before...I have the latest version.

Please help me fix this because I like VLC alot and would hate to switch back to WMP.

I've seen another posting recently where this is caused by the media file you open has actually two embedded video streams.

Deactivate all video tracks in the menu and reactivate one.
