VLC 2.0.2 freezing

Postby Mictlan » 11 Jul 2012 19:17

Hi!

my VLC 2.0.2 is freezing when i want to play a MKV File. About 10 frames are played then the window is freezed, but i can do everything in the player, except the buttons that have an effect to the played file. After playing an MKV i have to close the player via the red x in the upper red corner and then go to the task manager and kill the vlc.exe. The CPU is at 0-1 % usage, the graphics card is used at 100 % when the video is freezed. Every other format (except mkv containing h.264) works fine!
the same file at my Laptop (same windows version, nearly same software installed, same vlc player version) has no problem with this file!
I tried to reinstall the player, but no effect.

any suggestions?

Thank you!

Greetings

Do you use GPU decoding and did you recently update your drivers? There are some problems with the latest catalyst
