Issues with saving streams

Hello!

Today I tried to save a video stream (via rtsp) with VLC, but I had some issues.
Directly playing the stream works, but because of my slow internet connection, the video is very choppy.
Using the conversion function of VLC, the resulting file (I tested it with ogg and some others) plays much too fast or is choppy like playing the stream directly.

Some months ago, I tried something similar and managed it to get a correctly playing video file.

Does anyone have an idea if there is a possilility to save/convert the stream?
