I listen to a radio stream that is only streaming part time. When I try to play it before the stream is going, I get the HTTP authentication window asking for my user name and password. WHY?
When I cancel, it then pops up the Errors window displaying:
Your Input can't be opened:
VLC is unable to open the MRL 'http://...
I keep trying to close these windows but they keep popping back unnecessarily, getting in the way of trying to do ANYTHING ELSE with VLC (Errors covers up the main VLC window).
Why should it be asking for my password when I'm trying to OPEN a stream to RECEIVE (not send)? No other player asks me for this when there is no stream active
How can I close VLC or change to another media with it when these windows are perpetually in the way (Errors can't be moved when HTTP auth is open, main can't be moved or closed when Errors is open).
