Problem playing a Hi10p video

Postby loginofdeath » 02 Jul 2012 12:55

First when I was using vlc 2.0.1.I noticed choppy video playback with the particular Hi10p video. So I shifted to vlc 2.0.2.And the problem disappeared.Next I noticed the washed out colour of vlc.So I changed the dynamic range in Nvidia control panel to Full(0-255).But the problem still existed. Then I changed the video output to "opengl" from default".The problem was solved. But the playback became really choppy. Please help!
Anyway my configuration:Intel core2 Duo CPU E7500@2.93GHz,2GB RAM,NVIDIA GeForce 210.
Will the problem be solved if I use a better graphics card?

I have another question :To all the nvidia users,to solve the washout video problem did you just change the dynamic range to Full or changed both that and the video output to "opengl"?

Thank you in advance

Probably issue of CPU being full?
