strange behaviour / Explorer-like view

Postby Win7Mac » 14 May 2012 22:21

Hi Fellas,
I have two problems on my PC (Windows 7 Pro, 64Bit) with VLC 2.0.1:

- When adding a title or folder WITHIN VLC from My Computer>My Music by rightclick>add to playlist, the title is added 11 times. This does not happen when adding files to playlist from Explorer (that works ok).

- When clicking on My Computer>My Music WITHIN VLC, the folders are shown, but without arrows in front for the subfolders. So I have to double-click a folder which makes the current title (in playlist) stop playback. Pressing play again plays the first song in the clicked folder, not the current title in playlist.

I need an Explorer-like view (incl. all subfolders) of "My Music" WITHIN VLC.
What's wrong here?

1. is fixed in 2.0.2
- Thanks, expected release date?

This is normal...? - This is everything but expected behaviour to me...
Probly a usability problem here... to put it straight:
How can I browse "My Music" WITHIN VLC with an Explorer-like view incl. subfolders?
Without disturbing playback or playlist, of course...

Another question comes up:
How can I delete the medialibrary (without removing files) or make it show nothing?
I put my "My Music" folder to the library and now it troubles my remote-app on my phone because of it's size and number of files and folders.

I'm unable to manage both things in Extras>Settings.
Thanks in advance.

Now please, when can we expect official version (no nightly).

As this is seen as "normal" here  - can this be changed in a future version? - I would like to request this.
Actually using v2.0.1 is kind of a nightmare with this behaviour, the bug mentioned above and the "wrong track order"-issue filed here:

Please adress these issues to make VLC usable again.
