This Blu-Ray Disc needs a library for BD+ decoding

Postby galo5150 » 23 Apr 2012 09:11

I was having the following error:

Blu-Ray error:
This Blu-Ray Disc needs a library for AACS decoding, and your system does not have it.

Then, I followed the instructions here: http://vlc-bluray.whoknowsmy.name/ and now I'm getting a new error:

Blu-Ray error:
This Blu-Ray Disc needs a library for BD+ decoding, and your system does not have it.

Any help on this?

Thank you!

Yes, I do. Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.

Also, I'm using VLC 2.0.1 32-bit.

Did you use 32 bit .dll?

I am having the same problem. Installed VLC media player 2.0.1 (Twoflower) on my Win7 64-bit machine. It won't play Blu-ray discs.

I don't understand your advice. Why should any user need to 'use 32 bit .dll'? And what do you mean with 'using 32 bit .dll'?

I really appreciate your attempt at giving advice, but think that you should be more clear.

I have the same situation over here.

Got the AACS/KEYS files set up correctly but I get the BD+ error like the OP.

Windows 7 x64 with VLC installed on programfilesX86 using the 32bit aacs lib

edit: saw a commit talking about needing a recent libbluray, saw latest is 0.2.2 but have no idea how to integrate with vlc...

Did you use 32 bit .dll?
Yes, since I am using the 32-bit version of VLC, I used the 32-bit dll.

The BD+ issue is not solvable yet. But for AACS, it should just work.
