I would really love to be able to embed the control in an app I'm working on. The windows media player control doesn't seek very well and it looks like VLC does. That said, the activex control appears to be broken. VB6 and VS2k3 both gag on it trying to add it to their control pallet. Has anyone got it to work?

As far as i remember, the activex plugin was first developed for IE.
But I think Auovodis had some stuff in it recently to make it work better in other applications.
You should try to get a nightly build on http://vthr.videolan.org/~videolan ( when the server is up again
