"Send To" plays ALL files and no subtitles

I'm using VLC 0.8.2 in Windows XP. I put VLC in my Windows "Send To" folder so I can right-click directories and play a movie (my movies are split into separate folders). However, VLC plays EVERYTHING in the folder, including subtitles, text files, etc.. VLC usually hangs on the .SUB file between movies files and consequently interrupts the movie.

If I put the subtitles in a subfolder and specify "None" for Input/Codecs -> Access modules -> Directory -> Subdirectory behavior, VLC doesn't load the subtitles and doesn't hang. However, then VLC doesn't play movies if the video files are in subfolders like CD1, CD2, etc..

Also, when playing a directory via Send To, the subtitles don't play. The problem here is that VLC uses the directory's root as the subtitle root. E.g., if I send the directory C:\Movies\MyMovie to VLC, VLC looks for subtitles in C:\Movies\Subtitles instead of C:\Movies\MyMovie\Subtitles.

Lastly, I can't get VLC to recognize multiple subtitle paths. I tried a comma delimiter, like ".\subs,..\subs,.\subtitles", but only the first path gets searched. Semi-colon delimiters don't work at all.

That said, my questions are:

1) Is there a way to have VLC play only media files (or only files associated to VLC) in a directory without building a playlist?
2) Is the Send To subtitle base folder a known bug, and if not, how do I report it?
3) How do I delimit multiple subtitle paths?

3) Actually, got this working with commas both with and without a space. One of my test PCs only finds the subtitles if I right-click the AVI and Send To VLC, but not if I double-click it. (What the...?) Other PC works fine.
