Customize Interface: Profile changes irrevocable.

Postby Vaganza » 03 Mar 2012 11:30

I was quite happy to see that the control panel on Full Screen had an expanding button.
I had the temerity to choose one of the profile options under Tools=> Customize Interface=>
Select Profile (ToolbarProfiles?) so that button is no gone. The change also affects some items
not showing on the Main Control (Tool) bar. Using the [X] button (Customize Interface) does not revert.

Any way of getting it back without having to reinstall by deleting cache and preferences ?

Use the default one.

Thank you kindly.

Do you mean Tools=> Preferences=> Interface Settings=> Reset Preferences ?
Well that’s how I interpreted your answer and now used but in part wished to avoid.
Because I can’t find a default in the Select Profile menu as an alternative.

If you have deleted the default profiles, the easy way to get them back is to remove %appdata%\vlc folder which returns VLC to defaults.
