Well, if 1.05 doesn't crash Aero and later on versions do, it proves that something significant has changed or else it wouldn't crash Aero.Does not prove anythingNo other mediaplayer crashes Aero except VLC. But only the latest versions do, version 1.05 for example does NOT crash Aero on the same system.Trye to update to the latest radeon drivers, and see if it fixes your problem...I cannot possibly see a driver issue here. BTW: Windows 7 detected my Radeon and installed the default drivers.
The weird thing though is that if i open a second instant of VLC-player and close the first one, Aero is restored while the second instant of the player is still playing. That's kind of odd because at first start Windows 7 tells me the program is not compatible with Aero, switching back to the basic theme.
As for the Radeon drivers, I updated them but it didn't make a difference.
I know it has to be my computer causing this, or else VLC-player would cause Aero problems for way more users than the few having problems right now. The only thing really bothering me is why VLC-player (current version) is the _only_ videoplayer causing this...
