Remember play-position on different files?

hi , i 'searched but can't find the answer, would you like to help ?
do you know how to make VLC remember the position of all files that it last stopped playing. For example - I start videos/movies and stop right in the middle. Closing the program and later ,when i open these videos , i can continue from the last position of these ?
this mean vlc can write the last position of video files to data file ,so it can read everytime the video opens ,like kmplayer ?
do you know how to do this ?

VLC doesn't have feature like that. But is has been requested multiple times.
