I wanted to watch a 10bit (1280x720) video
I can hear the audio but there is nothing but a green screen
its been happening lately and my old video's work perfectly fine.

Get 1.2 nightlies, 10bit support was added in this version.
http://nightlies.videolan.org/ get a trunk version and not a branch.
