Changing Default settings in a file

Postby Marnix36 » 22 Aug 2011 15:10

Hello,

I want to change a lot of my default settings and want to transfer all these changes to my other computers.
So, I do not want to manually change the settings within VLC itself, because I have to do it 5 times.

In which file (and in which directory) can I change the default settings?
Is it the 'vlcrc' file in the directory: User-AppData-VLC? Or another file in another directory?

Hope to hear from you soon.

Thanks in advance.

Marnix

VLCcore settings are in vlcrc file. Some QT4 settings are in the vlc-qt-interface.ini (both files can be edited with text editors)

Thanks.

Can I just change these files and paste them into the same directory on my other computers?

Yes. You can transfer the settings between computers.
