Jump to spcific time

Postby student31 » 21 Jun 2011 18:14

When I use jump to specific time or simply click on the time I want VLC often jumps to a point 5 or more seconds away from the specified time. This would not be a problem, but I need some specific screenshots for a scientific application, and accuracy is a must. I could wait, but I want the exact time so I set the speed to x.06 and wait, which takes a while. If I try to speed up to get to just before the correct point, then slow down the video will jump back in time when I implement the slowdown. Also, sometimes directly after the jump the picture is garbled. Please Help!

You cannot get frame accurate seeking with many media files with VLC.
