window expands at end of play

This is an irritating bug that used to happen on this machine when it was XP and now has started doing it again since switching to Win764bit. Once the video finishes playing the player window goes black and expands to approximately the monitor resolution. This of course usually means that the controls end up off the edge of the monitor making it hard to close it afterwards.

I've hunted through all the settings and found nothing to fix it. Does anyone have any suggestions?

You can either reset the preferences or manually resize the window so the new size will be saved and used next time.
