Hello,
I like to change the default folder (Media/Open Folder or "Crtl+F").
It opens my documents, but I never use this folder... my media folder got a pretty long path, so is there a chance to change the default folder?

It should use the last folder used, if you use an updated VLC (1.1.7)

If you open a single file, yes - that works
- but not if you open a folder.

Ok, a bug it is then. Try to check with 1.2 Nightly Build of VLC, and it if doesn't solve, report the bug.If you open a single file, yes - that works

I created a topic 2 months ago, related to the same issue (Open folder always forgets...)
viewtopic.php?f=14&t=86250
It ended with this suggestion :
"...or maybe you'd prefer to leave this variable "filedialog-path" untouched, and create a new variable "folderdialog-path" related to the "Open Folder" dialog ?"
Vlc_Help's answer was :
"That could be added."
Anyone knows if it has been added in nightly builds ?

open a file inside the folder you want to become your default folder
