Mp4 plays in VLC but not itunes

Postby confuseduser » 06 Mar 2011 12:31

I converted a video to an mp4 so that I can put it on my ipod touch, but when I open the file in itunes, the video is jumpy and the sound does not play.
How can I get around this? (The video plays fine in VLC)

The codec information is as follows:

Stream 0
Type: Audio
Codec: MPEG AAC Audio (mp4a)
Language: English
Channels: Stereo
Sample rate: 44100 Hz

Stream 1
Type: Video
Codec: H264 - MPEG-4 AVC (part 10) (avc1)
Language: English
Resolution: 480x320
Frame rate: 29.962349

Statistics
Audio
Decoded: 200 blocks
Played: 200 buffers
Lost: 1 buffers

Video
Decoded 146 blocks
Displayed: 130 frames
Lost: 2 frames

Input/read
Media data size: 928KiB
Input bitrate: 1138 kb/s
Demuxed data size: 562 KiB
Content bitrate: 875 kb/s

Any help is much appreciated!

I'm afraid you need to go to an itunes forum, not vlc forum.
I suggest you google for video conversion to ipod or iphone.
Last time I did such a conversion, I used ffmpeg. You may want to try that, but first find the ffmpeg command line for playout on ipod or iphone using google
sorry I can't help more
Georges
