Installer question; installer, 7zip or zip?

Postby Luxfero » 06 Mar 2011 10:05

Bo really troubleshooting just asking for advice. I recently got a new labtop with 64bit OS and I'm thinking of installing VLC on it. I've use VLC on my desktop and it works fine. My question is will the 32bit version work on a 64bit OS? Also what's the best choice for using VLC? I see theres three choices for windows installer, 7zip and zip. Thanks in advance.

I always choose the 7z archive for it (as well as the zip archive) can just be extracted to any folder and then you just have to manually create a shortcut to your desktop and it doesn't require any installation. If you don't know how to create shortcuts, you may be better with the installer, though.
