a-b loop control
is there any way to operate this via keyboard please- it is not listed in hot keys ?

any technical reason why is it not possible or just because no-one has requested it ?
because I operate VLC player with a remote ( like operating a DVD player with a remote) I want to assign it to a button ( it is commonplace on "real" consumer device remotes)
