Video Game Music?

Postby LoboDelAire » 09 Mar 2007 19:43

Hi, I've tried to use VLC Player to hear music from videogames, which come in format .nsf, .spc and so on.

According to the Wiki section, this formats can be played if they are contained in a GME file.

The problem is the program does not play the files, so here are the questions:

1) Is necessary to install a codec for playing these filetypes?
2) Is there a way to create a GME contained files so the VLC software can recognize them?

Thanks in advance.

I am also confused as to how to get VLC to work. I've tried looking at the help (-h) and long help (-H) to try and figure out how to load gme. Gme is not in my list of plugins available (-l) but I cannot find how to load it in.

Please help us find out how to load gme in, and if it's small perhaps have it as one of the default codecs within VLC?

Installing additional codecs has no effect to how VLC playbacks files (= VLC can't use external codecs).
