Which audio FORMAT is being played?

Postby hollowman » 24 Jan 2011 05:10

I have a DVD (playing ripped files from hard-drive) with native DTS, 5.1, and Linear PCM (2-ch) audio. In VLC, I can select amongst them via HotKey ["b"] or Audio > Audio Track > (Disable, Track 1, Track 2, Track 3). Problem is, "Track 1", "Track 2", "Track 3" is not indicative to audio format. I have another player (TheaterTEK) which does identify selectable tracks as DTS, 5.1, and Linear PCM (2-ch).
How do I know exactly what I'm listening to in VLC?

Thx!
