No sound when playing music or avi files on my vlc.

Postby gigijulietta » 13 Jan 2011 19:19

I haven't been successful getting audio to play on any file type on my Win7 PC. Video works fine. This has been true on all versions of VLC I've installed (at 1.1.5 now). Audio works fine on my PC using Windows Media Player and WinAmp so I hope this is something simple. I've done a pretty thorough search of this forum and been through VLC preferences several times. Any help / suggestions are appreciated.
Already tried to change the name of vlc.exe to vlc2.exe and it didn't work...
help me please

Have you tried different audio output modules?
