Hi,
I noticed recently, that although I have set VLC player not to save the recently played items they still appear in the list. Not all videos, but some. This is probably a bug somewhere. Has anyone else noticed this? I'm using VLC 1.1.5 and Windows 7 32bit.

You mean VLC recently played items (Media -> Recent media) or Windows one?

In VLC when right clicking the application icon in the taskbar I still see some old entries. Or is that related to Windows?
Also I would like if the Media -> Recent media option would be disabled by default.

AFAIK the taskbar thingy is related to Windows.
You can disable the Media -> Recent media via Tools -> Preferences (Show settings: All) Interface -> Main interfaces -> Qt, and option Save the recently...
