v1.1.5 contrast issue?

Postby bobazonski » 05 Dec 2010 09:50

I have watched multiple videos on VLC today, and I imagine it was 1.1.4, because I always update when prompted. Well, tonight I was prompted to install v1.1.5. Right after the update finished successfully, the same videos (I have tried more than 5) all have the same issue: they are now extremely low-contrast and with vibrant colors. I can use the effects/filters to bring the contrast to what it should look like, but the colors still appear vibrant and I can't seem to fix it by playing around with the sliders. And it isn't subtle--for example, when the screen goes black during a video, it really appears gray--extremely different color than the letterbox bars on the side, for example. I have a 64-bit machine, and all of the archive downloads ( tried 1.1.2 - 1.1.4) are giving me errors when un-raring (tried win-rar and 7z).

Any suggestions? or anyone with the same problem?

Thanks. Switched to openGL and worked fine. Must have reset the preference when updating.
