VLC 1.1 What happened to Quit After Playback?

Postby NBStar21 » 30 Jun 2010 00:20

I just installed the new version of VLC 1.1 and the "Quit After Playback" function is not under the View menu.
I can't find it, anyone have any ideas?

I know about General Playlist Behavior->Play and Exit, but most times I don't want VLC to always quit after I am done watching something.

Any help would be great.

I can open a feature request ticket if you want the feature back.

'quit after playback'
hello, I am new here (first post) I would really like to have the mentioned feature. I don't know how to interpret the 'request ticket' information.
Will this feature be available or no? I am a drummer who does a 'one man band' show and I use a computer to play .avi files of each song I do.
The .avi files contain the music track along with lyric slides (warmed over version of Karaoke).I would like it if VLC media player would close after each title is finished - this would return me to the title listing screen where I could click on the next title I wish to play.
Thanx

VLC 1.1.6 will have this feature again. And if you need it immediately, then use nightlies

I really love the Quit after play, but unfortunately, it doen't work if you use the SKIP foreward feature. Skipping behind the end of the file leaves the tool open. Would be great, if this could be corrected in the next versions.
