I use vlc as a client to play http videos(streaming)
and i am using internet through my phone....
I am using proxy to run internet....
But in vlc there is no option to put proxy and port...
I am using 10.239.221.22 proxy server and 8080 port....But Where to put them in vlc..?
Like in web browsers there is a option for it...But in vlc i didnt find that type of option...

VLC can use your own proxy settings or Internet Explorers proxy settings. Tools -> Preferences (show settings: All) Input/Codecs -> Access modules -> HTTP(S) and either input the manual settings or tick Use Internet Explorer ... (Save and Restart after changes).

not working......may be because there is no option for port.....even its not working with that IE option......
and i mentioned proxy and port because if i try to set proxy mannualy in vlc.......
it asks in "http://[user@]............." in this format.....
but in other softwares putting proxy is quite easy...like web browsers.....
ultimately its not working.......

Format of proxy is
so add : and port number to it. e.g.
proxy.comcast.com:8080

if you open Messages before playback (and set Verbosity to 2), does it complain something about proxy when you try to open the stream?

coz forum doesnt allow to post more than 4 url

Strange, you are getting access_mms errors although you are using http access module.

I would guess the problem is related your proxy/network since it works just fine in here

We cannot really do anything unless someone figures out why the proxy you are using is doing that.

I am running a VLC server in amazon and trying to access it behind my company's proxy using VLC video streaming. I am getting below errors:

Problem might be since VLC doesn't support all authentication methods, that proxy might not work with VLC. There is trac ticket for this

What is the status of NTLM support in HTTP tiket ?? Is it implmented in any latest version of VLC ?? Can you suggest if any work arround for NTLM support?? I need it urgently.

No. AFAIK nobody is interested.Is it implmented in any latest version of VLC ?
There other protocols like mms, rtsp, udp etc.
