If I adjust the TVs brightness & contrast, it doesn't bring back detail. It's like everything dark is just merging to black. I think its called "Black Crush" but I thought that was LCDs only/
I tried with a Radeon 4870 and no matter what settings I used, the picture was always too dark.
Looks like the only combination that gives me a good picture is VLC with Hardware YUV>RGB enabled with an 8800GT and old drivers.
TV is calibrated.
