VLC 1.1.4 crash when I Stop a network rtsp video stream

Hi,
I'm experiencing a really annoying bug (I am a big VLC fan!!!).
I'm using VLC 1.1.4 luggage for windows.

I can successfully open a network video stream (rtsp://...). I can pause it and resume it but... when I click on STOP button VLC crashes immediately closing its window (this happens with different rtsp video-sources/streams). I cannot see log messages since VLC crash immediately. Moreover, --logfile option is broken for Win32.
When I try again to start VLC, it says "VLC media player just crashed. Do you want to send a bug report..."
I have also tried to remove my %appdata%\vlc directory (after a crash), so cache is re-built but problem always occurs.

Please help me
(I will also try older VLC versions to see if this problem is also there)

EDIT: I can confirm that with version 1.1.3 the problem DOESN'T occur!
What on hell happend to the stop function (on network streams) on 1.1.4 version?

Give me one rtsp URL I can use to replicate this. And the logfile broken is a known issue.

Does the problem appear only when in "full screen mode" or also in "windowed mode"? In full screen mode VLC hangs always at the end of a video or when stopping the video (not during pause). To find related bug entries just seacrch for "full screen"

I cannot give you any URL since I use VLC to connect to my Axis cameras with private IP address, such as
rtsp://username:password@192.168.0.28:554/mpeg4/media.amp/trackID=1?videocodec=mpeg4

This has always worked in past VLC versions

The problem surely appears in "windowed mode"; I've not tried in "full screen mode" becuase I uninstalled 1.1.4 VLC and installed 1.1.3

I know it was a known issue (I've read it on forum) but... how can windows users test/debug VLC features if they cannot even report a logfile on VLC strange crashes?

Anyway, thanks for your interest, I hope there will be soon a fix!

i need to record a rtsp stream too. please fix it. ive found a stream on the internet to replicate this.. rtsp://173.226.125.148:554/axis-media/media.amp

I am having the same problem. And even when it reaches the end of the file it just crashes. there was no logfile created so I don't what even caused the vlc to crash.

same problem here while it crashes every time when hit the end of the video in full screen mode

this is a known regression. Will be fixed in next version (1.1.5)

I had the same problem, but only in fullscreen mode. The VLC hangs when the stop button is pressed. This occures noe in window mode.
I uninstalled the 1.1.4 and installed the 1.1.5, but the same problem here to, but just on this computer, not on my other 3. They work fine.
Also in fullscreen mode when the bar with the timeline and buttons disapear, it leavs a big black square.
But problem still eksist in 1.1.5 Norwegian mode.

No, this problem does not exist anymore.
It was a crash when stopping a RTSP stream.
Yours is different, please post a new topic for this.
