Make VLC not recognize media controls

Postby spinal_compression » 21 Aug 2010 06:41

On my PC I use a keyboard and media remote that have media controls. However when watching a video and I want to turn up/down the volume it does so on both Windows (2% increments) and in VLC (12% increments) at the same time.

Is there any way to disable VLC from recognizing media controls or more specifically the media volume up/down controls? Or as an alternative some sort of lock for VLC's volume.

Win 7 x64
VLC 1.1.3

When is the fix due to arrive? How do you edit qt4.dll? It's pretty annoying.

There isn't any timetable for real fix.
