Pausing VLC at startup (via command line)

Postby alf » 31 Aug 2010 22:34

Hello,

in older versions of vlc I used vlc://pause:100000000 to pause VLC at startup. Using any version of 1.1.x, this won't work anymore. It always starts the first playlist item, although the "pause" item is in the playlist too. My command line startup parameters are as following:

Code: Select all

vlc.exe --extraintf http --config vlcrc playlist.pls --http-host=:8080 vlc://pause:100000000
Does any parameter have to be changed?

Thank you

alf

Change order of playlist.pls and vlc://pause:100000000

I tried this, now it pauses VLC, but the playlist items aren't included automatically into VLC´s playlist. I have to click on the playlist *.pls to expand it. Is it possible to automatically expand all items of a *pls playlist to VLC´s playlist?

Thank you

alf

AFAIK there isn't an option for that.
