Can i use USB Dictation Foot Pedals with VLC

Postby fallward » 24 Aug 2010 06:38

Hey there,

I was just wondering, if i was to buy some sort of USB foot pedal (used for dictation) could it be used while listening to an audio file in VLC?
I have recently changed from using an old tape system to digital audio files for dictation, and i'm finding it very hard to use the mouse and hotkeys to navigate and miss my old tape pedals!

To see what sort of pedals i mean, please follow this link: http://www.soundbusiness.co.nz/products ... es/7olrs28

I am Using Windows 7 64Bit Ultimate.

Thank you in advance for any help

VLC doesn't have support for devices like that build-in. But if you can map pedals to keyboard keys, you can naturally use them in VLC.
